Undergraduate internships are open to students who hope to join RIM Lab for graduate study or who want to explore graduate study here, and are arranged individually; requests made only for general research experience (including another university’s internship requirement) are not accepted. Our weekly open lab meeting is open to anyone without prior permission — email the lab manager to ask when the next one is, and come see what we build.
Graduate Program
- Integrated M.S./Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs (priority)
- M.S. program (considered when continuing toward a Ph.D.)
- AI Graduate School: 3 positions for 2027-1,2 (AI Convergence Program — same lab, AI dept. affiliation)
Undergraduate Intern
- For undergraduates who hope to pursue graduate study in RIM Lab, or who want to explore graduate study here through hands-on research before deciding
- Work alongside graduate students on ongoing projects — arranged individually based on your interests and available positions
- Internship requests made only for general research experience — including internships to fulfill another university’s degree requirement — are not accepted
- The URECA undergraduate research program is also a great way to get started
Undergraduate Fellow
- Ongoing recruitment of undergraduate research fellows
- Own a project — mechanical design, electronics, control, or AI
Postdoctoral Researcher
- Open to researchers in robotic actuation, mechanism design, or robot learning
- Positions are opened as projects allow — inquiries are welcome at any time

- Joint M.S./Ph.D. with the KITECH 3D-Printing Manufacturing Innovation Center
- Robot-arm-based large-scale metal 3D printing — equipment, process monitoring & control, AI print-quality prediction
